“FRESH” for Delight





On the dot of July 28, PSITS’ Freshmen blow the dust out with the outrageous performance during the cheering presentation.

            Freshmen Day 2011 is indeed remarkable, considering that there are 800 first year students who take part in the activity both in cheering presentation and Literary Musical Contest in the afternoon. Philippine Society of Information Students or noted as PSITS Department bring it on to the highest level of energy to prove that their race comes from talented and excellent students in the college.

Quoting almost 300 first year enrollees, the cheering presentation swoon the audience with glaze and excitement.  Aside from the above average performance, the afternoon event also paved way to the showcased talents of first years with regards to literary and musical competition.  

The hard work and the great power of “TOGETHER” results to success of PSITS taking the title as the over-all champion for the Lit-Mus Competition . # By: Admin_Larz














PSITS Champion for the Sixth Time




Mighty hails and deafening cheers filled the Alfredo Montelibano Activity Center as the tensed crowd rambled outrageously in celebration upon the victory of the high-spirited PSITS (Philippine Society of Information Technology  Students) department being the sixth time champion in the cheerdance competition during the Intramurals 2010 last September 8.

Being the title holder for five years in a row, the pressures held by the team of defending the championship was unbearable. Yet, they didn’t fail the audience to show the spirit and moves of a champion. It was a nerve breaking performance as they dazzled each eye by the unending twists, lifts, spins and stunts which brought them to kiss another year of winning.

“ I am very much happy knowing that we are still the champion, hardships and pains are all paid off”,  said Ms. Eleanor Koudroglou, adviser of the PSITS department. She was proud by the victory of the team and delivered two thumbs up while jumping in glee.

The PASOA (Philippine Association of Students in Office Administration) department was announced as the first runner-up followed by the SYMA (Society of Young Management Accounting) department as the second runner-up, JPIA (Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants) department as the third runner-up and YEPS (Young Entrepreneurs of the Philippines Society) department as the fourth runner-up.#  J. UNIT 1 TAGS AS THE SPORTS' CHAMP!

Unit one (PSITS Department ruled the courts, boards, fields, and the swimming lanes and hailed as the over-all champion in the sports event last Intramurals 2010.   Men's basketball team dribbled the ball hard and rules the court letting them kiss the title as champion. 

"We aimed to be the champion. So we played the game the way champions play", said Mr. Jojo Lomugdang, Chair of the PSITS Basketball Team, pleased by for the victory despite all the intense tension and fatigue. 

Swimming team performed a great swim of their lives and dove themselves to victory during the championship last September 9 at the Sta. Fe Resort. The soak-taking event which needs agility, speed, and strong body resistance is tagged with controversies and complaining that the Unit 3 (SYMA Department) gained the highest tally of scores and must be hailed as the champion. But Mr. Dennis B. Doblar, chair of the swimming event confirmed that the champion is still the Unit 1 and the decision is final. 

Women chess players proved themselves that they are the masters of the chess world scraping all the opponents' chess pieces, destroying the kings and smiled out a word "check". Such a mind tampering sport splattering out tactics against tactics and moves against moves letting each player to let their grey cells work.  Women's volleyball team spiked out mighty blows and screened tough defenses against the opponents showing the crowd that they are still the champion and will remain as one. " We just did what we have to do. Play fair and give them the best fight", said Ms. Luana Dinn Guarra, captain of the PSITS women's volleyball team. 

A score of 204 points is gained by Unit 1 followed by the Unit 4 with 191 points, Unit 3 (JPIA Department) with 139 points, Unit 2 ( PASOA Department) with 131 points and Unit 5 (YEPS Department) with 55 points. J. Madraga (PUBLISHED BY THE TECHNOPACER)
